New WISP Installation in Solan, India

I have been doing some consulting with a young man in India, Permender. Permender wanted to start a WISP and so I designed his network, built the configs and emailed them to him. He purchased all of his hardware in India and then applied my configs.  We then synchronized our watches and planned several sessions where I would RDP to his laptop and finish the final configuration on the bench.  Some of the challenges we faced were:

1. Communication, chatting via GoogleChat was often cumbersome. We started using Skype and that smoothed things out a bit.

2, Network speed. Working over Permender's aircard was impossible. His DSL connection for the WISP was in the City about 45 km away and our night was his day and vica versa so it made for some long nights for Permender. I would make the config changes, one device at a time while he swapped the cables until everythign was linked and working.

Here are some photos that Permender sent taken during the installation of his tower. Enjoy!
